Hi there!
My name is Jity – I’m an artist, educator, and mom. I work with ceramics and love creating with both children and adults. I studied Special Education (BA) and Special Art Education (MA) at Masaryk University in Brno.

I live in Brno with my Italian partner and our little daughter. At home we speak Italian, and I’m also fluent in English – so don’t worry, you won’t get lost in my studio even if you don’t speak Czech.

Now to the clay itself. I’ve always loved ceramics. During my maternity leave, we had a small pottery wheel at home, and I started experimenting with it in the evenings. First behind the couch in the living room, then in a tiny “Harry Potter cupboard” I set up inside the wardrobe – throwing pots among my daughter’s toys.

Eventually, I bought a kiln, and my dad found a spot for it in his garage in the Krkonoše mountains. So I was throwing in Brno and traveling north to fire my pieces. A year later, I started looking for a space in Brno to finally keep my kiln close by. And in the end – it worked out!
